Supply Shipping Information Currently ACCESS does not allocate funds towards shipping costs. ACCESS sends donated supplies through an established operation located in Toronto, Ontario, called Canadian Food for Children. Founded in 1985 by Dr. Andrew Simone and his wife, Mrs. Joan Simone, both Members of the Order of Canada since 2001, Canadian Food for Children collects funds and food for distribution to starving children around the world. Thousands of volunteers from across Canada contribute to thier work, which each year sends out more than 400 containers of food and goods for children in the poorest parts of the world, in 28 different countries. The organization has no paid staff, is managed entirely by volunteers, and students volunteer to help load a shipment of food almost every day in the school year. The organization has also received grants from ShareLife. |
